Baltimore launches its second Fleet Week Oct. 3-9! Last years' Fleet Week brought in 300,000 visitors and a $28 million boost, so hopefully this year will be even better!
The week long celebration of all things maritime will incorporate everything from naval ship tours, to air shows, Fleet Week Festival and more! Here are the details!
- Oct. 4-8: Naval ship tours at the Inner Harbor, Fwell's Point and Locust Point including The USS Constellation, the USS Torsk submarine, the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Taney and the Lightship Chesapeake
- Oct. 6-7: The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will entertain the skies over Fort McHenry and Middle Branch Park
- Fleet Week Festival: a free extravaganza of entertainment, food and exhibits throughout the area
- The Glenn L. Martin Aviation Museum will share its collection of planes, historic photographs and aeronautical equipment
2,500 sailors and marines from the Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, Royal Canadian Navy and British Royal Navy will spend the week at the Inner Harbor. And new this year, the Fleet Week 5K Run will give runners a chance to run with the sailors.
