The 411 With Francesca: 1/10/18

E! *Attempts* To Defend Their Pay Gap

The E! network was the topic of conversation at the 75th Golden Globe Awards this past weekend but not for good reason. Catt Sadler, a 10 year veteran of the station, recently called it quits after finding out her male co-host, Jason Kennedy, made twice her salary. Network president Francis Berwick released this statement, “Catt Sadler and Jason Kennedy had different roles and therefore different salaries. Catt was focused on daytime. Jason Kennedy is on primetime evening news, plus red carpet. Our employee’s salaries are based on their roles and their expertise regardless of gender. We wish Catt well, but I hope that sets the record straight on that.” This would've been a convincing argument had she not worked at the network for a decade, A DECADE, as in 10 years....come on people.

The Sexual Harassment Claims Continue

95 year old Marvel Comics founder Stan Lee has been accused of sexually harassing the nurses who care for him. A source is claiming the nurses have accused Stan of asking for oral sex & to be pleasured in his bedroom., The nursing company confirms the allegations and is currently embroiled in a legal battle with Stan while his lawyer denies the allegations & claims this is just a shakedown for money, "Mr. Lee categorically denies these false and despicable allegations and he fully intends to fight to protect his stellar good name and impeccable character. Mr. Lee will not be extorted or blackmailed, and will pay no money to anyone because he has done absolutely nothing wrong."

I love James Franco but I can't say I'm surprised unfortunately. Franco joins the long list of men accused of sexual harassment after winning Best Actor for The Disaster Artist at the Golden Globes this past weekend. He wore a Times Up pin that night which prompted several women to accuse him of sexual misconduct on Twitter including 80's icon Ally Sheedy & actress Violet Paley. Ally Sheedy has since deleted her tweet however Violet's still stands (see below). As a result of the accusations, the New York Times cancelled an upcoming TimesTalk event with the actor/director.

Tonya Harding Tries To Cut Interview With Piers Morgan Short

Disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding was not pleased when Piers Morgan claimed Nancy Kerrigan was the real victim during the 1994 Olympics, not her. I mean he's kinda just saying what we're all thinking, right? Tonya attended the Golden Globes Sunday night where her biopic I, Tonya was nominated for 3 awards chronicling her rise and fall from Olympic fame and the infamous attack on her rival Nancy Kerrigan, orchestrated by her then husband and bodyguard. Watch her try and end the interview above.

H&M Loses Out On The Weeknd & G-Eazy

Honestly HOW in 2018 does a marketing team not catch this? H&M came under fire this week for releasing the ad above which features a young African American boy dressed in a sweatshirt reading "Coolest Monkey In The Jungle." The company faced major backlash for their racially insensitive ad and it's not costing them with both rappers The Weeknd & G-Eazy dissolving partnerships with the company. H&M, The Weeknd & G-Eazy have all addressed the incident on social media.

Actress Lena Dunham Opens Up About Split From Long Time Boyfriend Jack Antonoff

That is Jack Antonoff^^ He's the lead singer of the band Bleachers and he dated actress Lena Dunham for 5 YEARS. They just recently called it quits in Decemeber and Lena addressed the split directly in a Facebook Live specifically about a ring Jack gave her, “I’ll always wear [it] because love is a really cool, eternal powerful, eternal thing. It doesn’t have to be defined the way we, in Western culture, define it — as beginning and ends. Things can be, ‘You’re a drop of water and you reenter the ocean." Lena is all of us.

Michelle Williams Got Paid Less Than 1% Of Mark Wahlberg

HELLO! This is why women are pissed! After the sexual misconduct allegations surfaced about Kevin Spacey, director Ridley Scott recast Spacey's role of J. Paul Getty in his thriller 'All The Money In The World' with Christopher Plummer, requiring quick re-shoots of many scenes to still make the Christmas release date. Come to find out, Mark Wahlberg's team negotiated one hell of a fee, $1.5 million dollars to be exact, for his scenes to be re-shot with Plummer, whereas Michelle Williams made less than $1,000 for her re-shoots. Best part? They're both represented by the same agency......*sigh*

If this is remotely interesting to you let me know & show me some love! xoxoxo
