It happens – there’s that person who pushes your buttons. It could be a nosy relative, a critical coworker, or even a rude stranger. It doesn’t matter who it is – they can get under your skin and ruin your entire day. That’s not good!

So how can you not let it get to you? You can train your brain to care less. Here’s how to start caring less about what anyone else says or thinks.

  1. Accept that it’s them, not you
  2. Set boundaries with firmness and without hesitation
  3. Don’t take the bait
  4. Focus on what you can control
  5. Practice self-compassion
  6. Hang out with positive people
  7. Develop a thick skin
  8. Walk away
  9. Remember it’s temporary
  10. Focus on gratitude
