University of Georgia students received a chilling welcome back to their dorms upon their return from winter break as a building called Oglethorpe House was found to be infested with bats. Many of the 500 residents have reported seeing dozens of huge bats with some posting photos and videos online.
Administrators at the university say they’re doing their best to get rid of the hoard of flying Draculas, saying, “We expected it would take about three days to remove all the bats because the bats are so small, and they're very good at hiding.” Meanwhile, though the odds are extremely low, the Georgia Division of Natural Resources says that a “non-zero” number of bats have rabies.
