Star Wars is very protective of its brand and will go to the dark side against anyone attempting to make money on it – even the owner of a small car wash in Chile. LucasFilm has filed a lawsuit against a car wash in Santiago called Star Wash. The Disney-owned company argues that the name infringes on its intellectual property and is trying to block the business from registering the name with the country's patent office. The owner of Star Wash says he is not selling movies or any other branded products that could be confused for the movie franchise and will defend the company in court. However, hurting his argument is the fact that the signage on the business uses the Star Wars font and workers there wear Chewbacca and Darth Vader costumes.
