We’ve all heard of “catfishing” on dating sites, where a person pretends to be someone or something that they’re not in order to attract a partner. Now, there’s “reverse catfishing.” This is where a person under-sells who they are and what they look like. They intentionally post unflattering photos to make themselves look less desirable. They then go into a date believing the person they’re meeting likes them for who they are…and not what they look like…surprising them with a better-looking package when they arrive. That’s still dishonest and disingenuous, isn’t it?
