The word “moist” makes a lot of people uncomfortable for whatever reason, but Kraft is out to change that with their “Operation Moist” campaign. The food manufacturing conglomerate is working to get Merriam-Webster to select "moist" as its Word of the Year. As part of the campaign, they’ve placed a large replica of a Kraft Real Mayo jar outside Merriam-Webster's headquarters and are encouraging folks to do online searches for the word. This initiative includes a live "Search-A-Thon" on Twitch and a dedicated website, aiming to change the word's negative perception. Merriam-Webster has yet to publicly respond to this campaign.
