A glass bottle shortage means wine prices could skyrocket this summer.

Glass bottle prices have gone up by 20% with winemakers paying a few more dollars per bottle, with the cost likely getting passed down to wine lovers.

One supply chain expert told Eat This! "Materials like cobalt, copper, and nickel are all constrained right now, and all are used in colored glass manufacturing. Less supply and continued high demand mean higher pricing."

It's suggested that you invest in some wine-preserving tools like a wine pump or preserver so you don't waste a precious drop. Better stock up now!
