First woman to win The Boston Marathon in 3 Decades!

Des Linden has just won the women's side of the Boston Marathon.

She's the first American to take the crown in more than three decades. She took the lead around mile 21. American Shalane Flanagan had a crazy race, at one point even having to use a porta-potty, but finished in the Top 10.

On the men's side, Yuki Kawauchi of Japan broke the tape. AmericanShadrack Biwottwas third.

The other big story of the race was the weather. The athletes ran most of the way into the wind and endured a cold rain throughout.

It’s the final countdown! Time to dot the i’s and cross the t’s. Come join me at Yotel Boston (65 Seaport Blvd Boston, MA 02210) happy hour tonight 6:00-7:00PM for some last minute #BostonMarathon tips and motivation. @trulysparkling #TrulyBoston #Trulypartner
