We're starting off 2018 on a positive note, people! Unless you're one of those folks who made a resolution to eat better...
Earlier this month, the donut giant Krispy Kreme reached out to customers and asked us to vote on what should be the company’s next donut flavor.
The votes are in! Here's how it went down, according to the company:
- lemon 38%
- caramel 26%
- blueberry 20%
- maple 18%
So LEMON it is! The company is now creating a Lemon Glazed Donut, which will hit stores this spring.
“Lemon won the vote," Krispy Kreme Chief Marketing Officer Jackie Woodward, says, "but we can’t glaze over the fact that the other three flavors all received a lot of support, even beyond the vote." And it sounds like the other flavors may get a chance in the future. Woodward adds, "while the polls are closed, our minds are not."
