Luke Combs made history on his global headlining run over the weekend.
Combs, 36, became the first solo country artist to headline Wembley Stadium in London, England, Guinness World Records confirmed. The North Carolina-born country star took the stage at the iconic venue to play three sold-out shows from July 31 through August 2. Combs performed for approximately 90,000 concertgoers each night, Guinness World Records noted, which brings the total attendance for his three-night run to about 270,000 fans. Thomas Rhett, Ty Myers and The Castellows joined Combs for the shows. Combs also brought his wife, Nicole Combs, on stage as the couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. Nicole joined her husband on stage for his signature beer-shotgun, along with Niall Horan and Kaleb Cooper.
Guinness World Records also pointed out that Taylor Swift played five shows at Wembley Stadium during her record-breaking “Eras Tour” in 2024. However, Swift, who kickstarted her career two decades ago as a country singer-songwriter, “has long been considered a pop (and briefly folk) artist.” Vince Gill also took the legendary stage in London with the Eagles in 2019. Among other artists, Kenny Rogers played Wembley Arena — which is now the OVO Arena Wembley — with Glen Campbell and Tammy Wynette in 1996, according to Guinness World Records.
The record-breaking run of shows concluded Combs’ headlining “My Kinda Saturday Night Tour,” titled after n anthem on his sixth studio album, The Way I Am. He shared on Instagram on Monday (August 3) that he “can’t believe the 2026 My Kinda Saturday Night Tour has come to an end. Huge thanks to everyone who made these shows possible, and most of all y’all - the fans. No better way to wrap it up than with this crew in London. Thank y’all for letting this ole boy do what he loves - play country music. See y’all next year!”
