Summer Pardi addressed her divorce from country star Jon Pardi in a new statement on Tuesday (July 7).
Summer, 37, and Jon, 41, announced on Friday (July 3) that they were parting ways after nearly six years of marriage. Summer filed for divorce in May in Davidson County, Tennessee. She shared in a new statement on her Instagram story on Tuesday morning: “I know many of you have seen the news about Jon and me. I wanted to acknowledge it here beyond the joint statement we put out. This has been a very difficult and deeply personal time for our family. While so much of our life is shared online, there are parts of it that I’ll always choose to keep private, especially something as difficult as this.
“I’m so grateful for the kindness, prayers, and support so many of you have already shown us,” she continued. “It truly means more than you know. I will continue showing up on here and sharing links and parts of life with you, like I always have. This space is a part of my work, but it’s also a place that brings me joy, connecting with so many of you. Again, thank you for all of the love and support for our family.”
Jon, who said he would step away from social media as he navigates the split, announced the divorce in a shared Instagram post with Summer. The two of them said: “After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. Our daughters will always remain our highest priority and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents. Thank you for your understanding, support, and respect as we navigate these changes as a family.”
The Mr. Saturday Night artist married Summer in an intimate wedding in November 2020. They share daughters Presley Fawn Pardi, born in February 2023, and Sienna Grace Pardi, born in July 2024.
