Sam Hunt shared a video of a heartwarming moment he shared with his wife and the couple’s nearly 2-year-old daughter on Monday (March 4). It happened during a recent tour stop at Bridgestone Arena in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

In a video on Instagram, Hunt addressed the arena crowd during his headlining “Outskirts Tour” show, featuring special guests Brett Young and Lily Rose. Hunt said the next song in his setlist that night “means the most,” because it reminds him of his and his wife’s story together. The Georgia-born country star gestured to his wife, Hannah Lee Fowler, who was holding daughter Lucy Louise, who turns 2 in May. Hunt performed “Cop Car,” a song that Keith Urban recorded in 2013, and that Hunt included on his debut studio album the following year. Montevallo also included Hunt’s smash-hit singles “Take Your Time,” “Leave The Night On,” “House Party,” “Break Up In A Small Town,” “Make You Miss Me” and other highlights on the 10-track project. Hunt also included “Cop Car” on his Between The Pines album the following year, featuring acoustic mixtape versions of each of the 15 tracks.

Hunt announced his daughter’s birth during a performance on June 7, 2022 at the historic Ryman Auditorium. It was during his two-night run at Resorts World Theater in Las Vegas in early 2023 that Hunt confirmed that Baby No. 2 was on the way. Baby No. 2, son Lowry Lee — whose name combines Hunt’s middle name with Fowler’s middle name — arrived in late October. The “Kinfolks” star reveals Lowry Lee had arrived when he posted a family photo one day after Thanksgiving, simply writing in his caption: “Thank You Lord.”

“I think what I have enjoyed most about fatherhood is the sense of purpose,” Hunt recently said in a statement, per his record label. “It’s deep, and it’s something I couldn’t have imagined until I experienced it. It gives such meaning to all, all that I’m doing in life, all the little mundane things that I might have done by myself before having kids, now have all this weight and meaning when I do them with my children. I’ve got my little girl who’s coming up on two years old who is growing and changing every day, and I’m having a lot of fun with her. I have my first son, just a few months ago, who is growing fast and a lot of fun.

“Lucy, Lucy the Ouise (Wheeze) — we call her Ouisy (Wheezy) — Ouisy’s having a big time with her little brother, and one kid feels like a family, but two kids now feels like a big family,” he continued. “And it’s a lot of responsibility, but I feel like I’m walking in God’s will now more so than I ever have at any point in my life. So, I’m just eternally grateful for these little miracles and smelling the roses and soaking it in every day.”
