Alex Georgia and his fiancée have welcomed Baby No. 1.

The country artist shared glimpses of his newborn son, who made his arrival early, on his Instagram story, including a sweet snapshot of the new mother holding her baby and the singer-songwriter embracing “dad mode.” Georgia paid tribute to his new family of three on Valentine’s Day on Wednesday (February 14). Their baby boy was born on Saturday, February 9 at 5 pounds 3 ounces, and measuring 18.1 inches long, the new parents showed on a previous slide on their Instagram stories.

The proud parents announced that “baby boy decided to join us a little early at 33 weeks. We’re both doing great. Bebe is just getting some help breathing. Thank you to everyone that has checked up on us. Please keep our family in your prayers.” Georgia added, “this is what love feels like. This woman and baby boy have my heart. I’m at a loss for words. I’ll never be the same.”

Georgia shared on his Instagram story on Thursday evening that he “looked all over for a song that I could listen to that talks about this feeling [of parents welcoming a baby early] and couldn’t find one. So I wrote one… I wrote it here in my son’s NICU room and did a voice demo. This song is called ‘Perfectly Imperfect Timing,’” he revealed as he shared a snippet of the heartfelt song.

Georgia and his fiancée announced in September that they were expecting a baby boy. The solo singer-songwriter, previously known as one half of the former duo Kat & Alex, posted a sweet video of the gender reveal. That was when he also surprised his then-girlfriend by getting down one knee with a ring and popping the question. He promised to raise their family together and told his fiancée that he loves her.

Georgia is one of several artists in the genre to welcome a child in 2024. Others becoming first-time parents include Parker McCollum, Adam Doleac and MacKenzie Porter. In Joy Life podcast host Mattie Jackson Smith, country music legend Alan Jackson’s eldest daughter, also announced that she and her husband will welcome their first child this June. Some artists are expecting Babies No. 2, 3 and 4 in their families, including Jon Pardi, Kane Brown, Gabby Barrett and Jessie James Decker. See the list of 2024 baby announcements here.
