Dolly Parton plans to open a museum “within the next couple of years,” the legendary artist shared in a recent interview.

The country superstar spoke with the Nashville-based Tennessean in a story published on Sunday (November 27), revealing that she plans to open a museum in Music City someday. The attraction would add to a list of venues bearing names of country stars, including Lower Broadway hotspots like Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa, Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge, Jason Aldean’s bar and other locations. Soon, Garth Brooks and Eric Church will open venues along the popular Downtown Nashville street, the Tennessean noted.

“We have the museum at Dollywood, of course, but I would love to have something here [Nashville] since this is really my home,” Parton told the publication, also speaking to her thoughts about performing at the highly-anticipated music festival Bonnaroo and her soon-to-premiere Christmas special filmed at Dollywood. “And I may have a restaurant or a bar and grill. Right now though, I've got so many things going. I can do without that for the moment. But someday I will have a business here.”

Parton has a busy holiday season on the horizon as she gets ready for the premiere of her star-studded Christmas special, Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas, on NBC on Thursday, December 1 at 8 p.m. ET. She also released a holiday single, “Almost Too Early For Christmas,” with Jimmy Fallon — who appears in Parton’s Christmas special with Willie NelsonBilly Ray CyrusJimmie AllenZach Williams and Miley Cyrus — and A Holly Dolly Christmas Deluxe album. After the Christmas festivities, Parton is set to ring in the New Year with Cyrus on the “Midnight Sky” artist’s TV special, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party.
