It's been a year like no other. The coronavirus pandemic has taken its toll on Maryland, the United States and the world. But as many states are seeing an increase in coronavirus cases, Maryland is still on a steady decline, thanks in part to the early and aggressive action implemented by Governor Larry Hogan.
In the June/July special issue of Baltimore Magazine, "On the Front Lines," you'll find an exclusive with the Governor himself on the coronavirus pandemic covering everything from the tragic nursing home situation to Maryland's reopening plan and more. I took some time to chat with editor in chief Max Weiss about this special issue which wholly focused on those fighting this pandemic on the front lines. Furthermore, this issue covers not just those vitally important essential workers, but how caring for the homeless during a pandemic is different, how local farms came together to feed those struggling with food insecurity, and how dozens of Maryland companies stepped up to help produce critical PPE to help the state's fight against the virus.
