Sofi Tukker Reflect On A Busy Year And Their 'Kind And Welcoming' Fans

It's been a crazy year for Sofi Tukker, who spent most of 2019 on the road. While enjoying some well-deserved time off, Sophie Hawley-Weld took to Instagram to reflect on the past 365 days and her gratitude for the band's continued success; their dedicated fanbase, and focusing on her own well-being.

"I just got to my grandma’s house in London, where I am going to curl up on the couch and do nothing but eat and reflect and cuddle for two days," she wrote. "This past year of touring has just come to a close. I’m so proud of the work we have collectively done. I’m so proud of the community we’ve created. I’m so proud of myself for staying healthy and sane. I’m so proud of my relationship with Tucker and how we have managed to both push each other and care for each other this year."

"It’s weird to be in London today. It upsets me that more countries around the world are turning to fear and separation and borders," she continued, referring to the recent UK general election results. "But I have gotten to see, night after night, a world in which people from all different walks of life gather together to dance and smile and make friends with each other. And that gives me hope. Thank you to everybody who has showed up to our shows this year with an open heart, thank you especially to everybody who has been kind and welcoming to the stranger dancing beside them. It may be small but at least it’s something."

See her heartfelt post below.

Sofi Tukker will be heading back on the road in January and have shows booked out until June! Tickets for the tour are available now.
