Dead Dolphin Found In Baltimore Inner Harbor

The National Aquarium has confirmed to CBS Baltimore that a dolphin has been found deceased in the Inner Harbor. Earlier this month, they discovered a dolphin "in distress" in the same body of water but instead of intervening, they elected to leave it alone and instead monitor the animal as they do not have a rehabilitation facility equipped for dolphins.

“Due to the fact the dolphin is swimming in a deep, large body of water, attempting to rescue the calf would be dangerous to both human responders and the calf,” the aquarium said.

It is unclear if the dead dolphin is the same as the distressed one, but people believe it is the same one. It is also unclear as to where it came from. Some viewers may find the photos published by CBS Baltimore graphic.
