After much discussion regarding her scandal revolving around her book sales, Baltimore's Mayor Catherine E. Pugh has resigned after taking a month's worth of medical leave from office.
According to the Baltimore Sun, "City Solicitor Andre Davis gave [her attorney] Steven Silverman a draft of a resignation letter. Her options included resigning immediately, leaving at a later date, remaining on leave or coming back to work." Pugh is now the second mayor the city of Baltimore in 10 years for to resign following accusations of criminal charges and investigation.
