The Ravens Return To The Playoffs For First Time Since 2014

For the first time since 2014, the Baltimore Ravens are heading to the playoffs!

Their fate was decided in a nail-biting week 17 game against the Cleveland Browns that resulted in the Ravens topping the Browns 26-24. Rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson brought in 12 of those points with his legs (he ranks second in the team's leading rushers) and since taking over for Joe Flacco as QB1 in week 11, has led the team to a 7-1 record. The remainder of those points came from one of the NFL's most accurate kickers ever, Justin Tucker.

What makes this win even sweeter is that we were able to dethrone our nemesis, the Pittsburgh Steelers, as the leader of the AFC North and virtually eliminate their chances at the playoffs (PIT still could have made it if the Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans game ended in a tie).

Even country music got involved! We love Dan + Shay, but gleefully disagreed with Dan Smyers' tweets this evening 😈 (the guys are Pittsburgh fans)

...BUT we did go throw this tweet a favorite! 🤞

And there were some other pretty great tweets in the Twitter-verse following the win:

The Ravens (#4) will host the Los Angeles Chargers (#5) on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 1:05PM during Wild Card Weekend.
