I'm going to be hosting a Facebook Live with GBMC - Greater Baltimore Medical Center Dr. Rajani Tadimalla coming up on August 22 at 10 a.m. It will be carried on GBMC's Facebook Page and at www.gbmc.org/wpoc
I'll be speaking with the Dr. about the amount of time our kids spend glued to computer/video games and smart phone screens interacting with social media and whatever else they manage to get involved with. How is the time they are spending on all of these screens impacting and effecting your family?
You are welcome to post a question now. For each question submitted, you will be entered to win one of four pairs of tickets for 93.1 WPOC 's Sunday in the Country, September 24th at Merriweather Post Pavilion with Rascal Flatts, Billy Currington, Scotty McCreery and more!
We are looking for questions on the subject of "Are our kids being positively/negatively impacted by all hours they spend with technology?"
Some things to think about for our Facebook Live discussion on 8/22.
Do you limit the amount of time your kids are allowed to use devices?
Are liberties to use devices used for discipline or tied to school performance and expectations?
How 'close of an eye' do you keep on your kids usage?
Are parents using these devices as 'electronic babysitters' to the extreme?
What is too much time on electronic devices daily?
Can over-usage cause over stimulation and personality or relationship/family issues?
How do you govern what your kids see on the internet and how do you control what is appropriate and inappropriate content for them to view?
Let's hear from you. Both comments and questions are certainly welcome. I look forward to hearing from you! Michael J On Air
