Petty Officer First Class Mike Dimestico serves as a Basic Mass CommunicationSpecialist Course video instructor at the Defense Information School on Fort Meade. The Falmouth, Massachusetts native joined the Navy after graduating fromColumbia College in Chicago. He has deployed to the Middle East in support ofOperation Enduring Freedom and has served for nearly eight years.He is a certified master instructor and has also earned Aviation and SurfaceWarfare pins. He was the only Sailor in his rate to be meritoriously promoted last year. Petty Officer Dimestico and his wife Laura live on Fort Meade with their four children.He is finishing instructor duty and returns to the fleet to serve at the Navy Public AffairsSupport Element East in Norfolk, VA.
