A “no-nonsense” dating coach says a woman should dump her boyfriend if he hasn’t said “I love you” within three months of starting the relationship. Jake Maddock — who has previously made headlines for his no-nonsense approach to dating — has offered the claim in several recent videos on TikTok and Instagram, saying women were wasting their time if they stayed with commitment-phobic fellas unwilling to utter the three important words. “If your partner doesn’t say very clearly ‘I love you’ by 12 weeks, then he’s not your ideal partner and you’ve wasted your time,” the expert bluntly declared. Viewers were divided over Maddock’s claim, with some saying the cut-and-dry advice did not apply to every relationship.
