Someone stole $100K in DIMES from a truck parked in Philly!

Police are searching for thieves who broke into a trailer carrying $750,000 worth of dimes. They say an estimated $100,000 or more in dimes was stolen from the truck, which had picked up the coins from the U.S. Mint and was parked in the lot overnight, Philadelphia Police Capt. John Ryan told reporters.

Now lots of people are asking questions like Mr. Tom who posted, " Parking a truck filled with money, protected by a padlock is almost, but quite as criminal as breaking into it to steal. Would that we could trust, but we cannot and such minimal protection is not responsible, and insurance companies should require better, or refuse coverage. Responsible customers of insurance companies deserve better than to have to cover such stupidity."

and

Viva La Fiesta who writes, " Trucks are allowed to bobtail when they are on break and use the truck as a personal vehicle to go to restaurants or hotels. That's likely what happened here. If he kept the trailer on he could get DOT fines."

Five thousand pounds of dimes? No NOw they say they took up to $200,000 in dimes weighing as much as TEN THOUSAND POUNDS! Five tons in dimes!!
