Second Chance, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation based in Baltimore and operating throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and East Coast from Florida to Maine.
Second Chance, Inc. began operations in 2003 to develop an organization capable of having a significant impact in the area of deconstruction, salvage, and recycling.
To that end it has continuously sought to develop the trained personnel and enhanced techniques necessary to bring deconstruction to an accepted business practice. We are a nonprofit focused on training Returning Citizens re-entering society after a period of incarceration.
The organization seeks to be involved in all facets of the industry and to play a role in expanding the acceptance of deconstruction as a profession at the same standards of excellence found in construction.
The organization has grown since its beginning in 2003 from 4 employees to just over 250 employees with an annualized budget projected for 2022 in excess of 14 million dollars.
The organization closed on the purchase of a 17 acre site with a 300,000 square foot warehouse in 2011.
It is constantly striving to expand the awareness of deconstruction and participate in opportunities to further the collective understanding of this area.
