As of this Friday, March 12 at 5PM, Maryland retail stores, outdoor & indoor dining facilities, places of religion and recreational establishments will no longer have to limit their location's capacity in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
In regards to bars and restaurants, this only applies to seated and distanced service (I.E. crowing around a bar is still not acceptable). Masks must still be worn.
In addition, large outdoor and indoor venues will be allowed to open at 50% capacity. This includes conference and wedding venues, concert venues, conventions, theaters, racing facilities, and sporting venues. Quarantine requirements for individuals travelling outside of the state have also been lifted.
Gov. Larry Hogan announced during his March 9 press conference that “[a]ll of our vaccine progress along with all of our sustained positive improvements...have enabled us to continue to follow the science and to be able today to take significant steps to further ease more of the mitigation measures currently in place.”
