Local Family Has Bedside Graduation to Fulfill Mother's Dying Wish

Posted May 13th, 2014 @ 5:51am

Our hearts are broken for the Sugg family in Glen Burnie.

Darlene Sugg, just 47 years old, had been battling cancer for four years. Her lovely daughter Megan is a senior at Glen Burnie High School. Megan had so many exciting, important life milestones this year, like her senior prom and her high school graduation. Despite her mom's condition, Megan and her father Steve Sugg made sure Darlene didn't miss a moment.

Glen Burnie High School administrators performed an early, private graduation ceremony for Megan and her family, at her mother's bedside.

The following day, Darlene was able to see her daughter in her prom dress, hitting another big milestone. Darlene passed away on Saturday afternoon, with her husband by her side. Please keep this local family in your thoughts and prayers.
