Once again I am hitting the road and running to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Last year I took part in my first half marathon in the St. Jude Country Music Marathon in Nashville. It was an incredible experience and I'm so looking forward to doing it again. If you can make any donation at all, it will be greatly appreciated by me, the children and families of St. Jude. Thanks to your generosity no one has to pay for the care they receive from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Any size donation would be incredible.
I'm down to 11 weeks from the race (4/26) and things are progressing. I don't know if they're going well or not yet but I'm sure I'll figure it out soon. I'm still battling back from my injured hamstring. Things were going well so I started to push a little more. Unfortunately, I think I may have pushed a little too far and now I'm working against another injury behind my knee. I believe it's related to the hamstring. I'll have to talk to my trainer, Hans at Merritt in Towson, to see what he thinks.
No matter what I go through for this race, it's nothing like what the children at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in their battles against whatever disease gets in their way. But, thanks to donations from people like you, St. Jude is able make those battles as comfortable as possible for the children and their families. No one ever pays for anything when they're at St. Jude. That's one of the many reasons I do whatever I can to help raise money for them. Please, if you are able to make any donation at all, please do so. It costs $1.8 million a day to operate the hospital. Every little bit helps.
