Dealing with the death of a parent is never easy, no matter how old you are. But it can be crippling when you're young. Your parents are your heroes. They're practically invincible.
What can make it a little easier is having a great support system around you. Two middle school students found that out first hand. After losing their mother, the children returned to school to find their lockers decorated with loving notes from their classmates.
